Scout 1 Hour Programs - Outside or Indoors

Calling all troop leaders! Trek on out to Eco Adventures for your next scout meeting- or we can bring the fun to you! Scout enrichment programs include an interactive presentation with live animals and bio facts. Or, trek outdoors for a scout scavenger hunt and explore the Severn Run Wildlife Area- 1,700 acres of pristine wilderness ready to be admired and appreciated by our young conservationists. 

We also offer programs at Kinder Farm Park with our turtle research project when available. Popular themes include: New! Responsible Pet Keeping Badge, Jungle Safari, Bugs/Creepy Crawlies, Animal Rescue, Animal Training and Enrichment, Wildlife, Research, and Zoo Careers, Backyards in the Bay, Earth Day, Turtle-tacular!, Fossil dig, Reptiles and Amphibians, Research hands-on lab: What do gators eat in the wild?

In house Scouts one hour Field trips: Come visit our facility and meet our amazing animal ambassadors! We have both outside areas and indoors for any program!
 
$234 flat fee for 13 scouts or less, $18 each additional scout
3 free leaders, all other adults are $4 each
$100 deposit is required to reserve a program
 
Outreach Programs: Can't come to us? We come to you!
 

Option A: Troop/Family: $325 for up to 30 people (children/adults), $3 per each additional person with a maximum of 40 people (children and adults). 

Option B: Troop/Family : $400 for up to 55 people (children/adults), $3 per each additional person with a maximum of 80 people (children and adults).

Option C: Blue and Gold: $500 for up to 200 people (children/adults), $2 per each additional person

$100 deposit is required to reserve a program
 
A travel fee applies for over 30-minute travel radius from the facility up to 45 mins: $75 fee.
*During Rush hour traffic there may be an additional fee.

We customize our scout programs to fit your merit badge requirements!

There is no reason why Scouting should stop during the pandemic! We can run SAFE programs! Either outside at ECO your venue or inside at ECO Adventures depending on your group #.  Book at a program at Eco Adventures after 6:30 pm or on weekends 9-10am. OR we can come to you in an outside setting where you have ample space to social distance. Masks are optional.

IN AN EFFORT TO ENCOURAGE YOUNG GIRLS TO PURSUE CAREERS WORKING WITH ANIMALS, MATH, AND THE ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCES, ECO ADVENTURES IS OFFERING A DAY OF ACTIVITIES THAT HIGHLIGHT THE ROLE WOMEN HAVE IN THESE FIELDS. STATIONS INCLUDE:  ANIMAL TRAINING AND ENRICHMENT, NATIVE SPECIES-MEET AN OWL!, AND MARINE BIOLOGY/FOSSIL DIG.
OUR GIRL POWER DAY WILL GIVE YOUR GIRL SCOUTS A NEW- FOUND CONFIDENCE, INSPIRATION, AND SELF-ASSURANCE THAT GIRLS CAN DO ANYTHING!

*Does not have to be a scout to attend.

Troop #   ages, Number of participants,  Phone #, Names of leaders:     ( up to 2 Troop leaders are free)
Once confirmed, we will then put your troop number online for your scouts to sign up online. Please note, once they sign up it is non-refundable but can be transferred to replace another scout if they cannot attend for whatever reason. Space is limited so we ask just 1-2 leaders per group.

Scout Sleepovers

Imagine sleeping under the majestic canopy, under the stars of the rainforest and waking to the sounds of howler monkeys or tree frogs. An Eco Adventures sleepover in our simulated rainforest is an experience your troop will never forget! First comes an evening of exciting activities that include a presentation with animal interactions, or possible flashlights or “eye shining” in the rainforest, games, wildlife craft (choose either sharks or nocturnal, biolumicent animals). Get a green screen photo with an animal as a souvenir of this unforgettable experience....AND of course, popcorn and a movie!  By then, (perhaps) your scouts will be ready to sleep the night away in the safety and comfort of our indoor facility. In the morning, enjoy a continental breakfasts and do a morning feeding and training of some of our animals.   Our educators can even customize activities to help meet merit badge requirements! Email for more information on customizable merit badge experiences and available sleepover dates.  

*Dates can be any Friday or Saturday based on availability.  
*Scouts can also "pitch" tents outside in our field and use Pixie hollow picnic tables for BBQing or picnic if needed.  Inquire at [email protected] 
**Please note that some of our animals may eat peanuts and other varieties of nuts. 

Scout Sleepovers
Themes include: Bug Badge, Herpetology, Girl Power! Rainforest Adventures, Fear Factor, Animal Superpowers, Animal Olympics, Around the World, and more! We customize to meet your badges requirements.

$65 per scout (2O people minimum OR $1100 min with 30 people max)
Leader is free
$40 per chaperone (1 chaperone per 7 scouts is required)

Spent the night at Eco Adventures last night on a Cub Scout sleep over working on the boys Wildlife Conservation requirements and had an awesome time!!..The boys loved it!!..We had a special treat "Dr. Brady Barr(National Geographic)", his wife, Mei Len, Anne & support staff taught the boys about natural resources, camouflage, animal tracks, endangered species, habitats and our impact on them!!..The animal interactions were amazing…hissing cockroaches, tarantulas, scorpions, chameleons, alligators, crocs and a BIG python!!..they played games, made and painted casts of fossils, claws and shark teeth, had popcorn, late night movie on the BIG screen, had breakfast together and our souvenir photos holding a snake or alligator and then sadly enough had to say goodbye…If you are looking for a cool Scout sleep over or School trip idea, call Mei Len at Eco Adventures!!.. They are an awesome establishment to work with!!..Thank you for everything!!..and see you again soon!!”
